Warren's Biography
The Uncharted Path of Artistic Evolution
1980's
A Journey Through Chaos & Beauty
Born in pre democracy South Africa and residing in Johannesburg, Warren always felt a penchant for art and creativity. This penchant for the arts was, however, stifled by the isolation and desolation of South Africa by the rest of the world and then perpetuated by an adolescence of being groomed for war. The following two decades he felt crippled by the debilitating effects of a struggle with the mind while trying to survive the responsibility of being a full time single father.
All the while, the underlying need to create and to express himself through art, was bubbling under the surface. About ten years ago, in an effort to free himself from the inner bedlam, Warren started to explore his creative side and turned to art as a form of therapy, self preservation and escapism.
For the last decade, Warren has immersed himself into turning chaos into art, creating beauty from adversity and escaping the stark reality of an adult life spent mostly in a haze of confusion. Now being a self taught artist, Warren is ready to share his work with the rest of the world. His work is a reflection of his journey and a regurgitation of the struggle against inner demons. His art explores the juxtaposition of the inevitability of death and extinction versus the strength and power needed to retard the process.
