Creating Contemporary Masterpieces
My art is as unique as my life’s journey has been. I draw inspiration from this and liken my art to picking up the otherwise broken or defunct pieces of my life to create vessels of strength and power. My art has always only been for me personally but it’s time to share it with the rest of the world and to hopefully, evoke conversation about the areas of the human psyche that have been swept under the carpet for too long.
I use mostly antiquated materials for their uniqueness, scarcity, quality and beauty. The process of creating the pieces takes years. It starts with the endless search for the materials, the refurbishment of them and the creative process of producing a work of art from the broken, dilapidated and tarnished reminders of the past, to create beautiful, contemporary pieces.
Unique Creations
The average age of the materials on my pieces is about 80 years. Each piece is unique due to the limited availability of the materials and how they synchronise together. I use the available materials as a starting point, to navigate the creative journey to the finished piece.

Sustainable Artwork
All the pieces are handmade with hand tools only. My art is made from recycled materials, defunct antiquity and found objects, which, together with not using machinery to create, make my art sustainable and delivers a negative carbon footprint on our beautiful planet.

Symbol Of Strength
I use this medium to demonstrate that beauty and strength can be found in the most stark and unlikely places in life or in the mind. The post apocalyptic nuances and innuendos in my work is a testament to what the human spirit can overcome.
Symbolic Arsenal & Artistry
All the materials were originally made purely for the function they served but have been presented in each piece as dramatic, aesthetic and uncompromising pieces of decorative design unmatched by contemporary styles and often gets replicated today as expensive items of decor. I like to refer to this as : “Where form and function collide”.
My art cannot be copied. My art cannot be duplicated. My art is me.
The guns in my artworks do not signify violence but rather strength and power. They create a symbolic arsenal to empower us to wage war on and overcome adversity and serve to remind us of the daily battle that life can be for so many. The ambiguity that I have employed in the nomenclature of the pieces serves as a précised version, and hopefully a portal into, the intention of each piece.
